How do I hire a Vasumo virtual assistant?
Vasumo makes it easy!
This is the best part – you do not need to create job postings, vet or train your assistant with Vasumo. All assistants are our employees. They are carefully vetted, highly trained, skilled and experienced to help you with your business tasks. You can now focus on what’s important, do what you love, spend time with your family, or just lay on the beach with a pina colada, and know that your assistant is working hard on your tasks to help you grow your business faster.
How do I work with my assistant?
Simply add a task and give instructions for your assistant to follow!
Your Vasumo assistant works with you inside of a task management platform. Simply add your task, add clear instructions for your assistant to follow and your assistant gets to work. It’s that simple.

You can discuss tasks, add files, and chat with your assistant – all inside of one dashboard (accessible via web or mobile). Your assistant is online Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm CST (excluding national holidays in the US and Canada).
Are Vasumo assistants trained and experienced?
Vasumo has the highest trained and most experienced assistants in the world! The top 1%.
Only 1 out of 100 applications make it through to joining our team. Each assistant has at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the industry helping small business owners succeed. 

We invest over 4 weeks and over $10,000 to train each assistant using Digital Marketer Mastery Certifications – 11 mastery courses that cover everything from SEO, Copywriting, Paid ads, Funnels, Email Marketing, Ecommerce, Analytics and Social Media. Each assistant then gets additionally certified by Google and Facebook. 

And that’s not all. There are several books that each assistant is required to read before getting assigned to a client, they include: Delivering Happiness: Zappos, 7 Rules of Highly Effective People, E-myth Revisited, Shoe Dog: The Story of Nike, Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity.

How quickly will my tasks get completed?
As fast as humanly possible.
This is a great question. If your tasks are submitted with clear instructions and your assistant has no additional questions – a small, simple task (under 30 minutes) is usually completed within 24 hours on average. Creative tasks such as design, copywriting, video, graphics, websites and so on, take longer to complete. Your assistant can help you estimate the time needed to complete your tasks, provide progress updates, and try their best to meet any reasonable deadlines. 

Each plan is limited to a maximum usage of upto 20, 30 or 40 hours per month which is roughly 1 to 2 hours of help per day of possible usage. This helps you choose the right plan depending on your usage needs. If you need more usage, simply reach out to us. 

We found that the best way to get all of your tasks done quickly and accurately is to make sure that all instructions are clear and all the information that’s needed to complete a task has been provided prior to assigning the task.
Why is Vasumo a phone-free environment?
You don’t have a phone number! I get scared when people don’t have phone numbers. I don’t like them being able to focus on their work and do a great job for me, because I prefer to interrupt them. I want to call you up and ramble at you for 45 minutes instead of collecting my thoughts into a well-structured message!
First of all, that’s not a question. Secondly, don’t be so hard on yourself! Plenty of people don’t think about how phone calls disrupt a lean mean efficient organization. 

Thirdly, it kind of answers itself, doesn’t it? We love doing great work, we love you, and we work really well when we can get off rapid response treadmill and focus on doing fantastic work for you. 

We totally get it if that’s a deal-breaker for you, kind of like how cinnamon gum just isn’t for everybody.

Please note: we do not accept last minute or urgent tasks on regular basis. Your assistant will try to get your one-off urgent task done as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee meeting the same or next day deadlines and reserve the right to decline such tasks. Please plan your usage, deadlines, and tasks well in advance.

And also since Vasumo has no contracts, you are welcome to sign up for a single month and see how it works out for you. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied after the month, simply reach out to us and we’ll cancel your membership at the end of your first month.

Ok, what happens once I sign up?
You will love it! Just ask thousands of our customers.
Once you get started with a plan and fill out an onboarding form, you will be assigned the most skilled and experienced assistant for your tasks based on your needs within few hours (up to 24 hours depending on availability of assistants and weekends). Once everything is ready, you will get an email from your assistant inviting you to join him in the task management dashboard.
How are the hours tracked?
No rounding to 15 minute blocks here!
Your assistants starts the timer when they open your task and stop it once they are no longer working on it. You will have a clear and easy to understand report to better estimate your monthly usage. Link to your report is conveniently available inside of your project in the Usage Tracking task. Your report shows your current membership plan, your cycle renewal date and the daily usage on your account in an easy to read graph.
Can I access my assistant on the go?
Absolutely!
At Vasumo, we give high priority to giving complete freedom for you to decide when and how to access your virtual assistant. Our task management platform is accessible via Web, Tablets and Smartphones. You can also email your assistant to send a quick note – however we try to have all communication stay inside of the task management dashboard so that will be the primary method of communication. 

You can also use video, record your screen and voice with Loom for example, to explain tasks instead of typing everything out.
Can I change my plan?
It is quick and easy!
If you happen to exceed your plan usage in a given month or need less assistance next month, simply reach out to us or talk to your assistant and we will downgrade or renew your plan early. Upgrades are instant and downgrades take effect starting the next billing cycle.
How does Vasumo membership work?
We are clear and transparent to help you get more done.
All Vasumo plans are monthly membership plans that enable you to keep your dedicated assistant assigned to your account and be there whenever you need help. Vasumo does not sell hours. We offer monthly access to highly skilled, experienced and vetted assistants to make it easier for you to get the help you need, when you need it. Each plan is limited to a maximum usage of upto 20, 30 or 40 hours per month which is roughly an hour to 2 hours of help per day of possible usage. This helps you choose the right plan depending on your usage needs.
Where is my assistant located?
USA and Canada.
Most likely, your assistant will be working remotely or from one of our locations in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Austin or San Francisco.
Am I a fit? Who is Vasumo for and not for?
If you feel like you’re stuck on a treadmill in your business – Vasumo is for you!
It is important to understand there are certain limitations to what you can use our service for at this price level: 

Vasumo is not a done-for-you service. Tasks like “build me a website” or “I need more clients” without clear and actionable instructions will not be accepted.  Assistant complete your tasks by following provided instructions.

We are not a call center, so your assistant will not be available to call on the phone, Zoom, Skype etc. All communication is done inside of the task management dashboard which is extremely easy to use to keep everything organized and in one place. If you communicate via a phone only and have difficulties communicating your tasks via text or video – we will not be a fit.  

Vasumo has built an incredible team of highly skilled assistants to help you grow your business faster and help you with things like graphic and website design, video and podcast editing, online research, email marketing, search engine optimization, social media, advertising, marketing, lead generation and other technical, creative and marketing tasks. 

Tasks we are not a fit for: admin or secretarial duties such as email management, meetings and calendar management; weekly/daily recurring tasks; personal help such as shopping, travel research, and other non-business related tasks; heavy labor intensive tasks (ex. edit hundreds of audio/video files in a week); time sensitive tasks; tasks that are considered a complete done-for-you service with no or minimal directions from you; tasks that are missing clear and actionable instructions. We reserve the right to decline a task if we believe it is not a fit for the service.

We have found that the most successful use of our assistants happens when clients know exactly what they need help with, how it should be done, what the end result should be, and have a workflow in place to delegate tasks to an assistant (SOPs – Standard Operating Procedure). 
What if I am not happy with my assistant?
No worries at all!
If you feel that your assistant might not be the best fit for your business needs – simply send us a message and we will try to find you the best replacement as soon as possible or process a cancelation of your account at the end of the cycle so you can find an alternative solution elsewhere in the meantime.
How do I cancel a membership?
It is quick and easy.
There are no contracts at Vasumo. Just affordable monthly rates and the most skilled assistants to help your business grow.

You quickly and easily can cancel your monthly membership by emailing us at support@vasumo.com or contact us via the chat widget PRIOR to your billing date with at least 1 day notice. 

If your membership cycle starts on 10th of each month and you contact us on the 10th, your membership will be canceled starting the next billing date (10th of the next month), and you will not be charged again. 

We are unable to process refunds for unused days or if you forgot to cancel your membership, unfortunately, due to the fact that your assistant is paid fully on your billing date. We cannot reassign your assistant to another client on such a short notice. Please plan your usage appropriately.
